THE GREATEST MEMORY IN SEA TEACHER BATCH 10-THE PHILIPPINES
Greetings and welcome to my blog. I am Mario Noven Ndu, a 20-year-old student from Indonesia with a deep passion for reading books and exploring new languages. Currently, I am in my third year of studying English Education at Universitas Nusa Cendana. As part of my academic journey, I had the privilege of participating in the SEA Teachers Program batch 10 2025, which provided me with the opportunity to be placed at Capiz State University, Burias Campus, in the Philippines.
Throughout this blog, I will be sharing the valuable experiences and insights I gained during my time in the Philippines, from the cultural exchanges to the educational opportunities I was exposed to. Before I delve into my personal experiences, however, I find it important to provide some context by introducing Capiz State University, Burias Campus, a place that has greatly enriched my academic and professional development. Stay tuned as I take you through the remarkable journey of my SEA Teachers Program.

Capiz State University (CapSU) traces its origins to the merger of Mambusao Agricultural and Technical College (MATEC) in Burias, Mambusao, and Capiz Agricultural and Fishery School (CAFS) in Bailan, Pontevedra, which culminated in the establishment of Panay State Polytechnic College (PSPC) by virtue of Batas Pambansa Blg. 91, signed by President Ferdinand E. Marcos on December 24, 1980. At the time of the merger, MATEC, founded in 1958, and CAFS, established in 1957, were both under the leadership of Dr. Ernesto V. Botin and Dr. Wenceslao O. Sison Jr., respectively. The transition to a state university was realized in 2004 when Republic Act No. 9273 converted PSPC into Capiz State University, with its administrative seat transferred to Roxas City. Throughout its evolution, CapSU expanded its academic presence through the addition of multiple satellite campuses, including the Burias Campus in Mambusao, which continues to contribute significantly to the university’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality education in the region.
